another thing I wrote in that little side room with the elevator

Dear Diary, I hope I own a little house in a little neighborhood.  I hope I have a pretty front yard with flowers and green grass.  I hope my kids get excited when it snows and school gets canceled.  I hope to open my windows when winter turns into spring,  and I can smell the blooming flowers and hear the birds chirping.  I hope the bus stop is right in front of my house,  so my kids can get on all by themselves once they turn double digits.  I hope I have a pavement driveway, so we’ll be the “sidewalk chalk house.” I will definitely always bring out popsicles.  I hope I have a little deck,  so I can sit outside on my rocking chair and read a nice book.  I hope I will have a bunch of friendly neighbors who come over and hang out.  Maybe, we will have fires and our kids will roast marshmallows together.  I like to think about little things like this.  It makes me smile.  Just sitting and thinking. Sincerely, Anna ♡
